ODAKI (sushi restaurant)

Just got back from this new restaurant located on Ste - Catherine street, Odaki sushi. It's an all you can eat or a la carte restaurant. On a Sunday evening, we paid 31$ each, taxes and tips included. There is a wide variety of sushi, sashimi, appetizers and warm meals. There is also a rotating sushi bar that completes this japanese experience. The decor was very " chic " and the service was ok. Above, you can see pics of the inside of the restaurant and portion of what we ordered (for two)......NO, we are not pigs nor fat!

  1. The outside of the restaurant is really chic, with fake plate displayed in the window. It is a nice place, waiters speak well English and French. The menu was very easy to order our plates. I like when we finished ordering our sushi, the waitress asked: is it too much what you girls just ordered? (she was sincere) and we answered:No, it is ok ( with confidence). Yes, we did order a lot for "normal" two little girls. But what, i did not eat for the whole day! The plates came fast with pretty presentation. I had the miso soup , the seaweed salad and warm meal for appetizers. Sushi are good, but i find the rice a little bit dry, fish was fresh. I like the large choices that we had! I suggest you to order only 1 or 2 pieces of each so you can taste more kind. I think this is the only all you can eat sushi place that has smoke salmon!! but gosh all the pieces of fish are so thin that they could fly away with your breath!
Finally i gave this place...8/10! good place to go for a date, birthday, or girls night out!

  2. Hey guys!!!!!! So I think Buttercup covered everything related to the "decor" which is super nice. But I have to say, I was not able to visit the washrooms in order to give my full review on the place......see my theory is that the cleanliness of the restaurant and food is reflected by the cleanliness of the washrooms (and you will probably see me write about it often enough). So what I thought. LOVED the idea of the rotating sushi Bar (which is included in the all you can eat menu). It also includes a water faucet on each table. I'm sure Buttercup and Blossom will agree that brought our Japan memories back. Anyways, The food was good.....not great (not much flavor), great choices, colorful sushis and good tea....lol. The mood is nice, quiet, calm music, but ddaaaammmmn my feet were cold. Also, I think the waitress' reaction was priceless when she saw our order, she asked if we would eat it all, she DIDN'T know our eating capabilities at that time.....HA. Anyways, if you wanna discover qn new sushi resto, go out with friends or BF/GF or with your parents, it's the place (if it's in your budget......not the cheapest)
